The one thing I can think of to improve these is to in the future use even more "dots" in the chainmail armor. I know that it will be a lot of work but I think they would look even better if you took the time to get impression of more rings in the armor.
The next batch has better chainmail. I think I was just out of practice when I made these ones. Maybe next time, I'll practice on some spare greenstuff before converting.
Nice stuff! Have you tried making chainmail by poking rows to the side, first left, then right and so on? It's not that hard, here's an ogre I made some years ago: http://s8.photobucket.com/user/mrtnw/media/Miniatures/Mortals/ogre2.jpg.html
