Swordsmen for Flashing Blades

I threw together some goons for Flashing Blades. The pictures are bad, but the painting was rushed anyway, so whatever. These are all based on Warlord Games plastic infantry, with sword hands/arms from the plastic cavalry, and random other kits for left arms.

Swashbuckling Heroes for Flashing Blades

Oof, life's been busy these past few month. Not even in a bad way, and I did manage to get some hobby work done, but most of it wasn't really blogworthy.

Here's something though: a set of miniatures representing the characters my game group rolled up for a Flashing Blades campaign.

The two on the left have been posted before, the lady in the middle is an old metal fantasy mini I've had for ages, and the last two are kitbashed plastics specifically made for this campaign.

an unintentionally morbid end to the year...

Please don't read into this too much. I'm just catching up on some terrain projects, and it just happened to work out that this Reaper Bones piece is my last paint job of 2018.

As you can see, the scale's a little wonky (Reaper is a heroic fantasy line, of course), but whatever. Happy New Year!

Russian force for Pikeman's Lament

Probably not optimal from either a tactical or a historical-accuracy perspective, but I finally have completed a full 24-pt force for Pikeman's Lament. Here is an assortment of group photos of varying quality:

(Well, almost completed. A couple units need flags, and the general is actually a Cossack mini because I somehow forgot to get any Muscovite commanders)

More Muscovite Cavalry

These are the "Boyar's Sons", the lower grade of feudal cavalry. On of them is a converted Gripping Beast plastic that I'm not entirely happy with, the others are TAG metals.

Happy Holidays!

Just a quick post of a speedpaint accomplished around the edges of today's festivities.

The minis is from the War on Christmas Village kickstarter (Jackalope Enterprises) from a couple years back. I wish you the best, whatever you've been celebrating!

Dvoriane (Muscovite elite cavalry)

The next phase of my Muscovite project is cavalry. Primarily this will be feudal noble cavalry, though I may convert some new-style reiters as well. The feudal cavalry is divided into the heavier Dvoriane (in this post) and the lighter Boyar's Sons (forthcoming). This batch is unconverted TAG minis.
