Hail to the king, baby!

Here is King Jan II Kazimierz Waza, now with horse and bodyguards.

The King is based on Bicorne's Charles I, as shown previously. His guards are from Warlord Games (mostly). The standard bearer is a WG plastic pikeman with Wargames Factory arms, and the one with the pistol is the WG limited edition Pike & Shotte promotional mini. The halberd heads are from Games Workshop's Empire militia.

  1. He turned out great.

You could try to ad some of your regular paint on top of the flag, and on the sides (where the white from the paper is seen).
I allways fill in the colors on my flags with my miniatures paint to make the banner more blend into the miniatures color whise. You dont have to repaint all the red with red but just add some extra stripes, blobs or whatever. See it as an extra highlight.
You could also try to bend the flag carefully to get a better flow to it, likes it is cought in the wind.
    Cheers/ Jonas

    1. Thanks!

The banner isn't even glued to the pole yet, I haven't actually decided for sure whether it will go here, or with the hussars. For this picture, I just slipped it over the pole and under the braid... that's why it's touching the halberd spike - the banner is resting on the halberd, otherwise it would slip down to the guy's hand.

But don't worry, once I make my final decision, I will bend and highlight the banner.
