Any chance you would expand your P&S supplement to include the Poles and Turks... I would like to get your insights into how the P&S Book profile compares to what you would do with the same units. Also thanks for what you ahve already done. Finally, have you done a profile on the Polish Guard Haiduks?
I don't expect to add Poles or Turks, I think the core book covers them well enough for my purposes, and I can't think of anything I'd really change.
For Guard Haiduks, I would just use the listed statblock, but remove the shooting value, and add the Double-Handed Infantry Weapons special rule, and maybe Tough Fighters and an extra pip of H-t-H combat value to bring them back up to 33 points.
I'd missed that the rulebook described bows as "a symptom of a lack of firearms rather than well trained archers". So none of that had occurred to me previously. That said, there are some good suggestions in the thread that I will definitely be considering for my project.

Thanks for commenting!
Thaddeus have you expanded your Dramatis Personae at all?
ReplyDeleteWill you add Moldavian and Wallachian armies? If so I can help you :).
ReplyDeleteThaddeus any thoughts on my post in the Pike and Shotte forum regarding eastern horse archers in the period.
